The fire bowl is made of the best-quality cast iron and therefore 100% heat resistent (does not warp) and is less sensitive to rust than, for example, normal steel. Remove the GrillRing and you can enjoy the bowl only as fire bowl.
The Corten steel ring square provides the cast iron fire bowl not only with stability, but also gives the possibility to tilt the fire bowl in the 'Egg-position' for better wind protection and the best view on the fire.
The GrillRing is made of high quality (8 mm) hardened steel. Special heat treatment minimizes the chance of warping and makes the material robust and scratch resistant. The ring ‘hovers’ so to speak in the bowl, so that excess oil and fat directly is being discharged in to the bowl. The space between the GrillRing and the edge of the bowl also allows for oxygen to re-activate the fire constantly. The special asymmetric design provides optimal cooking space.

The set will de delivered in a new (rust free) state. If you would like to speed up the natural process of rusting, you can use something slightly corrosive, like a vinegar-water solution. Please take a look at the FAQ for more info.

The Co-Fire expansion possibilities and cooking accessoiries explained: 

The Top is a cover made from Corten steel which protects the GrillRing and fire bowl from rain and prevents possible drifting of ashes and sparks. As soon as the Top is placed on the fire bowl the fire gets extinguished and you can leave the place with peace of mind. The Top also creates a (standing) garden/bar table when the GrillRing is not operative, which can be used to e.g. place decorations.

The Woodstock, Column, Table and Cubes are diverse pillars made of Corten steel to position the GrillRing on a certain heigth. The most practical one is the Woodstock because it can be placed both vertically (at standing height) and horizontally (sitting height). The Woodstock also has a convenient option for wood storage. If design is the most important to you, you might want to go for the Table, as it is the most sophisticated. For simplicity go for the Column or one of the Cubes. For more culinairy cooking possibilities you can turn to the plateaus Dot or Dot BBQ (with extra grill racks). Both plateaus are made from special steel and give you just that extra cooking space. They can be removed after use (when the fire is exstinguishing) with the heat resistant fire gloves, Co-Fire Gloves. In that way the lid, the Top, can be placed on the warm fire warm to extinguish the fire and protect the equipment.
The plateau the Dot WokGrill is ideal to get creative with the special Co-Fire Wok and/or grill scewer-set. Now temporarily with a free GrillScewer-Set, consisting of 6 stainless steel skewers of 45 cm.

The handy stainless steel Spatula, several models, allows easy cleaning of the GrillRing by scraping the surface, but can also be used as cooking tool to cut and move food.
